LP4Y USA

For nearly 15 years, LP4Y USA has played a major role in the global fundraising of training centers for young excluded people.

Thanks to its ECOSOC status with the United Nations, LP4Y USA is able to mobilize a whole community around the theme of professional and social inclusion of young people, both in a global and local context, through partnership development, advocacy and the sharing of integration solutions.

Each year, the various events organized by the team help to finance the training and full integration of more than 1 in 4 young people supported by LP4Y. These funds offer Youths who have no access to education and who are excluded from the labour market the opportunity to develop their professional skills, define a life project, become agents of change in their communities, understand the world of decent work and integrate into it, thereby lifting them out of poverty in the long term.

In 2023, LP4Y USA counts:

MAIN EVENTS

Beyond the financial dimension, each LP4Y USA's initiative is an opportunity for many individuals, companies and institutions to meet, exchange ideas and discover the experiences of young people, who most often come to speak in person. It is a chance to understand a different reality as well as their potential and the effectiveness of LP4Y methods, to network and identify different possibilities for supporting the inclusion of young people. LP4Y USA helps to establish new local and international partnerships, strengthening actions in the USA and local support for LP4Y training centers (training, sharing good practice, professional exposure, recruitment, etc).

LP4Y USA is multiplying the opportunities for creating partnerships between players in New York and sharing good practice, in particular through the organization of the Youth Inclusion International Forum, which brings together many actors interested in Youth inclusion.

These events lead to the development of new collaborations and local initiatives that give young excluded Americans access to work experience and a sustainable integration in the labour market.

WHITE NIGHT

A dinner wearing white held every year at the end of September in an idyllic seaside location in Mamaroneck, Westchester.

It's the perfect opportunity to introduce newly arrived people in NY to LP4Y

and help them settle at the start of the school year.

YOUTH INCLUSION INTERNATIONAL FORUM

A forum for companies and NGOs to meet and share their experiences about Youth inclusion.

It takes place in mid-October to coincide with the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, celebrated each year on 17 October.

TOGETHER WE ART

A contemporary art fair organized by LP4Y, bringing together more than 20 artists living in New York and exhibiting a total of almost 300 works in a Manhattan gallery.

Art is used here as a means of informing a wide audience about LP4Y's actions at the UN and in the field.

GALA ANNUEL

A fundraising evening attended by around 400 people, including corporate partners, individual supporters, volunteers and young students.

This evening raises around 1/3 of LP4Y's overall operating budget, which is enough

to fund the training of

500+ young people

each year.

Since 2020, LP4Y has held Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (UN). This status recognizes LP4Y as an expert in Youth inclusion, representing civil society at the UN, with the official legitimacy to carry the voice of young people living in extreme poverty and victims of exclusion.

The LP4Y USA team is at the heart of the LP4Y Alliance's institutional advocacy strategy and is a key player in representing the interests of marginalized young people around the world.
